Nursing Home Worker Steals Patients' Drugs, Charged With Four Felony Counts
A nursing home worker was charged with stealing drugs from a ten of his patients. The theft included stealing Tylenol 3, hydrocodone, and pain patches. The worker said he peeled the pain patches from the patients’ backs and left them on his tongue for an hour at a time. The remaining drugs were stolen from medication carts.
Nursing Home Identity Fraud Leads To Sentencing Of Two Employees
A nursing home worker has received a sentence for identity theft after using names and identities of patients along with a co-worker to falsify tax returns. The tax returns brought $6,500 in refunds, for which the court is requiring the guilty party to pay restitution. In addition to the payment and a permanent removal from the medical field, a jail sentence may be on the horizon.
Nursing Home Patient With Alzheimer's Freezes To Death at 94 Years
A nursing home patient with Alzheimer’s is dead after wandering outside the nursing home doors. Severe temperatures coupled with hypothermia were the cause of the patient’s death. A snow plow driver found the 94-year-old woman in the parking lot and immediately called to notify his boss.

A class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of nursing home patients in a nursing home. The lawsuit involves what is believed to be the third largest Hepatitis C outbreak in the nation. “It’s certainly one of the largest ever,” said one of the attorneys representing the case, when the class action motion was announced.
