A man is dead after receiving a brutal beating from a security guard in his assisted living facility. He and another resident were beaten with a blunt object. A nurse reported the beating to another guard on duty.

A pharmacy owner bribed nursing home workers to return unused prescription drugs to her for resale. The owner convinced the workers to bring them drugs to her with bribes of money in increments of $100 to $300. The drugs were repackaged and resold to patients as new drugs.

The concept of nanny cams is a focus of conversation again as 17 employees at a nursing home were seen showing neglect to a non-ambulatory, bed-ridden patient. The patient was not receiving medication, incontinent care or liquids as he should. The employees not only neglected the patient, but falsified documents regarding their care of the patient.  The nursing home care staff was caught on camera, which is raising the question again as to why some states still will not allow nanny cameras …

A nursing home patient is dead after choking to death on a meatball. He was a cancer patient with seizure disorders making him at risk for dysphagia, or difficulty swallowing. A state review verified that medical records and treatment made the danger of choking very clear.

Families are grieving the loss of loved ones after a double murder took place in a nursing home. The murder involved three nursing home patients, one the murderer, the other two murdered. The man who was deemed the culprit seemed to have hit them over the head with his wheelchair arm rest or foot pedal.

A nurse employed by a nursing home is being charged for allegedly stealing painkillers from the home. The painkillers were a schedule II controlled substance. She was arrested just weeks ago after Vicodyn and fentanyl patches went missing.
