A male nurse was arrested this morning for sexually assaulting a patient suffering from Alzheimer’s. It happened early this morning, when staff saw the nurse on her bed, raping her. She was not able to fight back.

A woman is seeking damages after being sexually assaulted by a 30 year old nursing assistant. She was allegedly sent to a mental health unit for three days after reporting the abuse. She did not receive treatment or counseling.

A nursing home is under investigation after a perceived murder-suicide took place. A 77-year-old and a 76-year-old were found dead from gun-shot wounds. It appeared that the male shot the female and then shot himself.

A total of 9 nursing home employees have been arrested and seven of them related to the death of a nursing home resident. The charges include allowing the resident’s alarm to ring for two hours when she stopped breathing, embezzling Medicare funds, and numerous counts of neglect. A whistleblower turned in the employees after feeling the need to expose what had happened to the 72-year-old resident whose family was told she died of a heart attack.

A nursing home aide has had her license revoked for mistreating elderly patients. She has been noted for eating food off their trays, calling them names, refusing to complete tasks, or lying about treatment offered when it was not. The aide was cited for numerous actions of neglect or abuse within just two days.

A 66 year old nursing home patient called for nursing staff to assist her to the restroom, but staff did not respond. When the patient attempted to reach the restroom on her own. Her bed alarm sounded, but staff still did not respond.
