Man Arrested For Breaking Into Nursing Home And Shooting A Flare Gun

A man broke into a nursing home scaring residents and staff by shooting a flare gun. He claimed to be an ex-military man with a mental illness. Witnesses believed there were two men, one setting fires and one shooting off guns. However, police identified only one man after using pepper ball munition to capture him.   “He was trying to force his way in (to the building,)” a policeman said.

Nursing Home Settles Case After Allowing 84 Year Old Patient To Fall Several Times

An 84 year old nursing home patient was allowed by the nursing home to fall several times. As a result of the first of her falls at the nursing home, she sustained a left hip fracture. An eighth grade class is writing Christmas cards for nursing home residents as part of a Caring Kids Christmas Cards Project. The students are thoughtful of the seniors to whom they are writing. “God is watching over you,” one student wrote to a woman, living in a facility away from home and family.
