Patient Assaulted by Employee and Nursing Home Takes Action
An employee of a nursing home with a pretty good track record recently became entangled with law enforcement after deputies say she assaulted an Alzheimer’s patient. Owner of nursing home, states that a nurse discovered a bump on the back of a patient’s head. This prompted an investigation which found one of their nursing assistants was to blame.
Assisted Living Facility Visitor Charged with Attempted Murder After Castrating Resident
A 41-year-old man has been arrested and is being held on $5 million bail after police say he castrated a paraplegic during a dispute at an assisted living facility. Officials say the man is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and other related counts after Monday night’s attack at the assisted-living-facility. Police say the suspect was visiting a female friend who apparently had some sort of dispute with the victim.
Alzheimer patient abused at the hands of nursing home employee
According to an incident report, an employee had to wake the patient in order to change her bed sheets when the patient became agitated. The employee pushed the patient back into her bed and stated to the patient that she would hit patient if she fought back again. Two days after the incident at the nursing home, a bump was discovered on back of the patient’s head.
Missing Nursing Home Patient Found After Spending Night in Facility Attic
The search for a missing nursing home resident ended well Sunday morning when the resident was found safe inside the facility. Police were notified that an 85-year-old nursing home patient was missing Saturday around 4:00 pm. The elderly man suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
