Nursing Home Robbed By Gunman Seeking Medications

Police are looking for three armed men who forced their way into a nursing home early Thursday morning, demanding narcotic pain medication. The men allegedly approached an employee who was outside the facility on her break around 4:00 a.m. Two of the men forced the employee to give them pills from the medication closet at gunpoint, while the third suspect stood watch.

Nursing Home Employee Found Collapsed at Facility Due to Heroin Overdose

Police have charged a nursing home employee who allegedly overdosed on heroin while at work. Law enforcement officials were called to the nursing home after several employees found their co-worker collapsed on the floor in a facility hallway.  Police who responded to the facility found two empty bags, which appeared to have contained heroin, and a syringe on a bathroom sink inside the nursing home. Police are investigating claims by several residents at an assisted-living facility who say they were raped by a medical technician at the facility.  According to an arrest warrant, the suspect has been charged with rape, sexual offense and sexual battery in connection with an assault on a resident. Hired Caregiver Arrested After Woman With Cerebral Palsy Died With Severe Pressure Ulcers

A personal caregiver was arrested and charged this week with neglect of a dependent person after a woman he was hired to care for died with severe bed sores (also known as pressure sores, pressure ulcers, decubitus sores, and decubitus ulcers).
