Nursing Home Inspected Following Discovery of Maggots on One Resident

One State’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has plan to visit a nursing home after a resident was found to have wounds infested with maggots. According to the DHHS, the facility informed the department about the incident and their plan of corrective action. Assisted Living Facility Employee Caught Stealing Possessions of Deceased Elderly Client

A 50-year-old assisted living facility employee was fired after the son of a recently-deceased resident complained that several of his mother’s belongings had been stolen from her apartment. Nurse Suspended During Investigation of Five Suspicious Deaths

A nurse accused of neglecting dementia residents at a nursing home has been suspended from practicing in the healthcare profession.
