An elderly nursing home man’s body was discovered in a ravine this week after a day of searching. The 75-year-old man’s body was found before 9:00 p.m. behind a home.

The daughter of a woman who drowned in a bath tub at a nursing home may receive substantial damages if a court approves a settlement agreement between the parties. According to court records, the daughter filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the facility after her mother committed suicide in 2010, by drowning herself in the center’s tub room. The State Department of Aging and Disability Services is investigating a nursing home after an patient at the facility disappeared and was found dead a week later. On July 8, police issued an alert that the 78-year-old Alzheimer’s patient was missing. Administrators at the facility told the man’s family they were searching for man, but his family had also begun searching on their own.
