Nursing Home Resident Suffers Brain Damage Because Nurse Was “Too Busy” to Provide Care
The daughter of a nursing home resident is suing her mother’s nursing home, claiming that a nurse “was too busy” to help her suffocating mother, who died more than two years ago. According to the lawsuit, on June 20, 2008, the woman’s mother was admitted to the nursing center with respiratory failure and pneumonia. She required a tracheostomy tube to help her breathe.
Body of Missing Assisted Living Facility Resident Found in Park
A woman whose body was found floating in a river along a park has been identified as a 66-year-old assisted-living facility resident less than a mile from the park, police said Monday. Police believe that the death was accidental and may have been related to a medical condition. The facility is not a restrictive facility and unlike a nursing home or hospital residents can come and go as they please, police said.
