According to a news release, drugs intended for the residents of the nursing home were allegedly withheld by these employees for their personal use. The mother of a victim of alleged caregiver abuse is publicly speaking out. Her son was a resident at a group home and required very specific medical attention for his daily needs. While at this group home, her son sustained injuries including a broken neck, a broken nose, and lacerations.

One family is finally getting closure from a lawsuit settlement after the death of a loved one from neglect in 2015. The victim of neglect sustained external and internal injuries after falling twenty times in a nursing home facility. According to the daughter of the victim, her mother “died an unnecessary death.”There were similar nursing home abuse and neglect settlements that followed suit.

One nursing home reportedly filed twenty-nine incident reports last month. Among these reports, many had the tags and/or references of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Some other reports included burns, lacerations, and malfunctioning of medical equipment.

A former aide of a retirement community is being charged with raping at least one elderly resident of the facility almost twenty years ago. The victim was said to be both non-verbal and bed-ridden in the facility. However, newly presented court documents allege this man may have committed sexual crimes against two additional elderly residents at that same facility.The former aide was arrested on February 27, 2019.
