Nursing home facilities come with the potential for abuse and families must be vigilant about the care of their loved ones. Two recent cases of abuse have brought the issue forward, causing concerns, and rightly so. One 29-year-old nursing home patient in a vegetative state was raped and later gave birth.

A nursing home has been accused of using a “sham medical director” to help with a kickback scheme to put more money in the pockets of the owners and executives managing the facility.
