A nursing home has been reported for allowing a patient to catch on fire while smoking unsupervised. The patient was using an oxygen tank and reportedly took a drag of another patient's cigarette. An observer of the incident said it took nursing home staff 10 minutes to reach her.

Four caregivers have been charged with abuse and neglect of an elderly person. The caregivers were taking care of the individual in his home in exchange for free room and board where he lived. The individual was malnourished and had terrible bed sores that were left untreated while living in poor, unclean conditions.”He looked scared.
