Nurse Aides Terminated Following Insensitive Photo Leaked on Social Media

Two nurse aides were immediately fired after an insensitive social media post went viral.   According to a report, the aides were employees at a nursing home facility who regularly cared for senior citizens.   The social media post contained an image of the aides with the caption “might drop your grandma later.”    According to the aides, the caption was a harmless joke which has been copied and re-posted on many forms of social media outlets.

Individuals across the country on social media platforms expressed disgust over the insensitive “joke.”   Among the comments were individuals discussing the reality of nursing home abuse and neglect in their own lives.   The aides are now attempting to bring legal action to the individual who initially leaked the image on social media.   For more, read the story.
