Nurse Suspended During Investigation of Five Suspicious Deaths

A nurse accused of neglecting dementia residents at a nursing home has been suspended from practicing in the healthcare profession. The nurse, who worked at a nursing home that has since been closed, was a mental health nurse in 2009 when four women and one man died at the facility within two weeks of each other.

The five deaths are now being investigated.  Investigators revisited the case last week, almost three years after the first death – and suspended the nurse’s license until they reach a final decision. The nurse is now working at an electronics firm and claiming she had decided to retire from nursing. For more, read the story.
