Nursing Assistant in Jail After Slapping and Choking Elderly Nursing Home Resident

According to police, a man is in jail after being accused of choking and slapping a 92-year-old man at a nursing home late last month. A judge ordered the former nursing home employee held on $100,000 bail, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The 51-year-old nursing assistant is charged with aggravated battery to a senior citizen. Another employee of the facility witnessed the man when he slapped an elderly resident twice in the face before he grabbed him and pulled him by the neck. The employee notified her supervisors who then reported the incident to police. According to the police report, the victim suffers from dementia. For more, read the story.
