Two staff members in a nursing home facility were arrested for abusing patients residing at the nursing home. Family members of the abused patients secretly set up hidden cameras to try and find an explanation for the unknown cuts and bruises on their loved ones. After the family members found evidence of abuse their loved ones experienced, they reported it. When the administration of the facility learned of the abuse they immediately contacted police and the state health department.
Upon conducting interviews and reviewing the tape regarding the incident, the two nursing home employees were arrested. Individuals affiliated with the nursing home are extremely anxious to see the nursing home patient abusers receive just punishment. The nursing home facility has assured everyone that there is a plan of correction being made. The facility not only fired the two staff members for being abusive towards residents, but also eight others for not reporting abuse that they were aware of or using their cell phones in patients’ rooms.
