A news team investigated nursing home abuse on social media, finding multiple instances of indecent photos that were shared or posted of elderly patients under the care of nurses. The photos were taken unbeknownst to the patients, but circulated to the masses. Family members are looking for a stronger criminal crackdown on offenders of this type of abuse.
Some patients are abused and unaware, unable to fight back. “What she actually remembers from the incident, I don’t know. We will never know,” said the son of a loved one who was posted on Snapchat. For more, read the story.
