A nursing home worker pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree felony of patient abuse. The female patient had tears in her clothes and injuries. A bloody pillowcase was also located in her room. Other patients reported abuse by the same worker.
A survey conducted by the state health department cited the home stating that it “failed to ensure residents were protected from physical abuse resulting in actual harm by facility staff during the provision of direct care by a State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA).” For more, read the story.
