Nursing Home Abuse With Cameras Causes Concern

Nursing home abuse is rampant among nursing home facilities. A rising form of abuse is with social media and videos. With regard to video abuse, two nursing home workers were arrested for videoing and posting an 84-year-old woman half-clothed. The caregivers were laughing at her in the video. 

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is calling for training and policies regarding cell phone usage and investigating and reporting quickly to take action against the caregivers causing these types of incidents. At least 35 cases have been reported in the past four years, however, it is believed many still have gone unreported. For more, read the story
