A nursing home has admitted fault in the negligent care of a patient. The nursing home identified cost-cutting and a shortage of staffing as the reasons for the negligent care. The patient died following a series of negligent incidents and care.
From a failure to offer promised activities, to dehydration, to wandering, to rationing urine pads, the family saw many repeat violations of care. “Just the level of neglect and watching mum being in a bed of urine and feces … the placement certainly didn't provide her with the care she deserved,” said the patient’s daughter.
