Nursing Home Administrator Loses License After Patient Sexual Assault Incident

A nursing home has been cited for multiple incidents involving sexual abuse of patients in the facility. The sister of one of the patients probed and invited the department of health to investigate after the incident went unspoken by the administrator. The administrator decided the sexual interaction was mutual, leaving the incident unreported.

The administrator has now lost his license in the events that unfolded. “My sister was custodial care to make her comfortable, and fed and safe. That wasn’t done,” said the family member that has pushed the issue to seek justice for the abuse her sister sustained. Although the administrator lost his license and the head nurse is being investigated related to the incident, the facility remains open under the leadership of the former administrator’s brother.
