Nursing Home Administrator Sentenced To Jail For Actions Leading To Patient Death

The former administrator of an assisted living facility has been sentenced to prison for abusing a patient to the point of death. The patient suffered from dementia and two weeks after an incident with the administrator leading to her arrest. The caregiver shoved two hard eggs and medication down the mouth of the patient allowing her to go into respiratory distress. 

According to a nurse at the facility who was monitoring the administrator under suspicions of abuse, the administrator failed to call 911 immediately when the incident occurred. The same nurse documented video footage of the administrator verbally and physically abusing the patient.
