A nursing home administrator has been charged with fraud after stealing $94,000 from a patient’s trust fund. The family is more than shocked, as they new the administrator well. She was a family friend for years. The administrator got the patient to sign his name saying she was allowed to borrow money as long as she paid it back within 5 years.
The administrator made a guilty plea to avoid jail time. In addition to paying back the stolen money and court costs, the accused will serve 30 hours of community service and then will hold a clean record at the end of a two year second chance offering. The family believed the punishment did not measure up to the crime. For more, read the story.
