Nursing Home Aide Gets Sent to Prison After Pleading Guilty to Rape of Resident

A former nursing home employee pleaded guilty Tuesday to raping a resident at the facility earlier this summer. Today the man accepted a plea deal in court and which carried a nine years prison sentence. The plea deal also requires that he serve five years probation after his release.

The former aide admitted he raped the resident on July 16 at the facility. The rape was witnessed by another employee who reported it to authorities.Police later found the man at a nearby hotel and arrested him. At the sentencing, the man apologized to the family of the victim and to the judge. For more, read the story.
