Two nursing home aides have been charged with a misdemeanor and a felony after allowing a dementia patient to wander from the facility and then falsifying records stating the patient's whereabouts were verified every 15 minutes. The patient was missing for 7 hours without administrative knowledge.
When it was finally realized that the patient was missing, the facility reported the missing patient to police. The patient was found 2 miles from the facility wandering through streets. The aides that falsified the records were arrested for their crimes. For more, read the story.
