Nursing Home Allegations Cited To Health Agency

A complaint has been filed to the state department of health because patients are not receiving adequate care. The complaint involves nursing staff withholding water from patients to avoid them getting wet. The nursing staff also allegedly ate the patient’s food leaving them short of their meals.

In addition, more extreme accusations were made relating to sexual abuse and starvation. Another patient was also left in wet underwear with soiled linens next to the bed in a bag. The main concern above all of the accusations has come down to a shortage of staffing due to safety and care concerns for patients. For more, read the story
