Nursing Home Allows Patient To Suffer Neglect And Die

The family of a loved one has filed a lawsuit against a nursing home for abuse and neglect leading to the patient’s death. The patient was allowed to suffer dehydration and bed sores. Dehydration is often a danger that must be thwarted with the elderly by caregivers, as they do not often have awareness of their need for fluids.

The bed sores the patient suffered led to sepsis. The patient also suffered from a UTI. Failure to properly care for and prevent these issues led to the patient’s death. For more, read the story
