Nursing Home Assistant Charged With Patient Sodomy, Abuse

A former nursing home assistant has been charged with first degree sodomy charges, second degree elder abuse, and attempted first degree sodomy charges. A witness saw reported that an incident occurred in which a patient was attacked and was injured trying to fight the nursing assistant during the assault. 

The patient victim was 68-years-old. The nursing assistant was immediately terminated when the incident was reported. If convicted of the charges, a combined sentence of up to 20 years is possible. For more, read the story
