Nursing Home Bill May Require Surveillance Cameras To Be Identified

One state on the verge of implementing a new bill allowing “granny cams” is coupled with controversy by elder care advocates. Although advocates for better quality care for nursing home patients are in support of allowing cameras in nursing home facilities to monitor the care of patients, the stipulations are causing concern. The new bill would require patients to identify that they have cameras in the room. 

The requirements include signs identifying the cameras and consent forms for visitors among others. “No one should be treated differently because they choose to have a camera in their room,” for more, read the story.
