Nursing Home Bookkeeper Faces Up to 7 Years In Prison For Stealing From Patients

A nursing home bookkeeper has been charged with a felony for stealing funds from nursing home patients. After helping a patient obtain a debit card to buy a television for her room, the debit card went missing and the bookkeeper could not produce it or say where it was. The patient also never received her television.

In addition, thousands of dollars went missing from other patients’ accounts and deposits to be made into accounts still remain unaccounted for. The bookkeeper now faces up to 7 years in prison for grand larceny and defrauding “vulnerable” elderly people. For more, read the story.
