Nursing Home Cameras Allowed In One State Coming Soon

A new law passed in one state will allow family members to monitor the care of their loved ones in nursing home facilities. The law requires residents and their families to furnish costs and monitor the equipment. There are still issues and details to be worked out with nursing home facilities and the implementation of the bill, but the overall goal of offering family members peace of mind is the key to this bill.

“The cameras will be a good deterrent, as abuse is driven by an individual, not the establishment, and this will help them police themselves,” said a spokesperson for public policy. “The camera doesn’t lie.” For more, read the story
