Nursing Home Cameras Allowed In Patient Rooms By Law Starting 2016

One state has passed a law that will go into effect the first of the year in 2016 to help families protect loved ones. Nursing home facilities will by law be required to allow video cameras in the rooms of their patients. Families or the nursing home patients themselves will pay the bill.

However, lawmakers believe it will be a small price to pay for the peace of mind and expected improvement in care the patients will receive. Patient care is expected to improve for those who choose to place cameras in patient rooms. For more, read the story
