A nursing home caregiver has been indicted by a grand jury on one count of felony exploitation of an incapacitated person. The caregiver along with two other defendants is accused of using a nursing home patient's food stamp card to charge more the $250 worth of food. The patient was not aware and had not given permission for the charges to be made.
If sentenced the caregiver could serve up to 10 years in prison and pay up to $10,000 in fines. The nursing home worker was booked with a bond of $5,000. For more, read the story.
