A nursing home worker has been charged with seven counts of murder felonies. The nursing home employee “without lawful justification and with the intent to kill or do great bodily harm to [the patient], choked and struck [the patient] about the neck and face with his hands, thereby causing the death of” the patient.
Initially charged with a felony count of aggravated battery, the former employee was then charged with murder and arrested the day the patient died. If convicted, the former nursing home worker will serve up to 60 years in prison for each count. For more, read the story.
