A licensed practical nurse (LPN) has been charged with neglect of vulnerable adults. She was a former caregiver at a nursing home facility where concerns arose regarding her treatment of patients at the facility. The nurse was noted signing documents saying she had dispensed medication to four patients. However, the medication was still in the boxes unopened.
Upon investigation, the nurse was let go from her position. Officials say she did not dispense the medication when it was necessary for the patients. The former caregiver pleaded not guilty and will face trial in the coming days. For more, read the story.
