A nursing home caregiver is in danger after failing to administer 500 prescription drugs for pain to six patients in his care for 103 days. He instead stole the drugs from the facility and kept them for himself. He was arrested on six felony counts of obtaining a prescription for a controlled substance by false pretenses.
“The defendant has a code that is specific for him to be able to obtain medication and is only known by the defendant and also needs a finger swipe,” a police officer on the case alleged. “The defendant was taking medication from different wings of the nursing home, outside of the area where the residents he (cared) for were located, which is not common practice.
