A nursing home employee was caught on camera verbally abusing a patient. According to video footage, the caregiver asked the patient, “Why is it taking you so long to die?” It was also documented that, “Employees in the video made comments about another employee not providing medication; this employee is also under investigation.”
The incident is under investigation and the employees involved have been terminated. The family installed the camera after having concerns about care for their loved one suffering with dementia. For more, read the story.
