Nursing Home Chain Lawsuit Pending For 36 Facilities

A nursing home chain that operates 300 facilities nationwide in 22 states has a lawsuit pending due to violations in the quality of care its patients receive. The lawsuit is limited the facilities in only one state at this time. The attorney general is citing 36 facilities in the same state for failing to provide care to its vulnerable and elderly patients.

The lawsuit states, “The company advertised it would keep its residents clean and comfortable while providing food and water at any time. But its facilities were understaffed, leaving residents thirsty, hungry, dirty, unkempt and sometimes unable to summon anyone to help meet their most basic needs, such as going to the bathroom.” The attorney finds the lack of care provided to the patients as unacceptable.
