Nursing Home Chain Receives Another Lawsuit

Another wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against a nursing home chain for allowing patient negligence leading to death. The patient was allowed to die just days after being admitted. The patient underwent leg surgery and according to the family should have been fitted for a breathing tube. The family requested the breathing tube be placed at the facility, and reported concerns about decreased breathing abilities.

The patient died just two days later. The family sued the facility citing understaffing and cost-cutting. The facility is currently on a State Watch list as a repeat offender and is under current investigation for reimbursements and overcharging rent. For more, read the story
