Multiple nursing homes in a nursing home chain surveyed by health inspectors were cited for various health care deficiencies. One facility was not unclean with filth so bad in one patient's room, a surveyor's shoe stuck to the floor and came completely off the surveyor's foot. A patient at another facility died of inflammation from a UTI that was left untreated.
The nursing homes are being pushed to grow rapidly and patient care is paying the price. Staffing is an issue where there is a lack of nurses to care for patients.
