Nursing Home Cited For Immediate Jeopardy Of Patients

A nursing home facility has been cited for placing patients in “immediate jeopardy” and now faces fines of up to $900,000. The nursing home violated 19 rules of care based on a site visit by the state health department. A revisit two weeks later identified that the facility was still in noncompliance with the rules.

The nursing home was in noncompliance for ignoring patient's call bell lights, dehydration, malnourishment, failure to change or toilet patients, and depriving help with grooming. The nursing home has been closed for admission until the nursing home reaches compliance with the rules again. For more, read the story
