A nursing home has been cited with a Class AA citation resulting in a $100,000 fine. The citation followed the death of a patient who died at the negligence of the nursing home. The patient fell while transferring to the toilet. The nursing home failed to provide adequate supervision at the time. As a result, the patient was allowed to fall and suffered a head injury.
After the fall, nursing home staff told the family the patient was fine. However, the family noted the patient sweating profusely and unable to wake up.
