Nursing Home Closes And Sells Due To Unmanageable Septic Issues

A nursing home closed its doors after septic issues rose beyond the affordability to repair. The home was cited numerous times for “serious issues” by the Board of Health and State Department of Public Health.  The home had allowed the problems to persist for three years and finally decided to close the doors of the nursing home housing 70 residents. The repair needs rose upwards of $100,000.

Mold growth was another cause for concern and too difficult to remedy at a reasonable cost. The unmanageable property was purchased by a developer, septic cleaned out and will be used for a new purpose in the future. For more, read the story.
