Nursing Home Closes Doors On Authorities' Order

A nursing home will no longer offer nursing home care after authorities ordered the facility to close its doors to all patients. The patients were not receiving adequate care as staff let skin conditions go untreated, used unnecessary physical restraints and medications and provided inadequate nourishment and bathing and toileting care. The allegations from authorities concerned 16 different patients.

The nursing home is settling at $100,000 regarding the allegations of worthless care. The facility's license has also been revoked. For more, read the story
