Nursing Home Closing Due To Poor Inspection

A nursing home received such a poor inspection that it was told to close its doors. A former nurse opened up to news reporters about her experience there right before the inspection. Without a background check, she was brought in as a sitter and quit just a week after being there. She was appalled at the conditions for and treatment of the patients. 

With cold food, lack of heat and patients standing in feces, she wanted to take the patients with her when she left. “The patients would walk around with feces coming out of the bottom of their pants…on their shoe. They’d track it up the hallway. It takes them a minute before they do decide to come clean it up. They only change them like the first of each shift.” For more, read the story
