A certified nursing assistant has been charged with abuse of two elderly patients for whom she was to care. She is accused of hitting and pulling hair, among other actions of abuse. She was arrested and posted bail after her arrest. The nurse was charged with two counts of assault on an institutionalized patient and two counts of endangering the welfare of the elderly.
Family of one of the abused patients reported concerns of abuse to police. The reports led to an investigation that is currently ongoing. The nurse is set to appear in court for the charges. For more, read the story.
