A nursing home counselor has been indicted and fired after using his status as a caregiver to abuse patients he counseled. The counselor was working with victims of brain trauma and accessed their rooms, and then performed forced sexual acts. The counselor faces 33 counts of indictment, including sexual assault, sexual abuse, and criminal sexual act.
“Sexual assault of [the state’s] impaired residents is beyond reprehensible – it’s inconceivable,” said the attorney general. “Those who use their position as trusted caretakers to abuse others will be prosecuted.” For more, read the story.
