Nursing Home Deficiences Lead To Loss Of Medicare And Patients

A nursing home facility is struggling to prove they deserve to remain open after losing funding from Medicare. Medicare decided to drop funding at the facility because state inspectors found many deficiencies within the facility. The facility claims it has fixed all of the problems related to the deficiencies. They claim there should be no reason patients covered by Medicare need to be transferred elsewhere.

The nursing home says all of the deficiencies were corrected immediately and were not relevant to patient injuries. The facility also made the statement they would work to make sure all of their residents requiring a transfer would be transferred safely and would experience no interruption in their care.
