A nurse in the role of director at a nursing home facility has pleaded guilty to tampering with records involving a sexual assault incident with two patients. The records included a witness statement regarding the assault that took place between two residents. Trying to cover up the incident, the nurse destroyed the records.
One of the same patients also did not receive medication based on her medication administration records. The medication was not received by the patient, so the nurse tried to hide them. Charges ensued bringing in the facility owners and facilitators. The nurse chose to plead guilty once the indictment was made. Other charges are pending for additionally involved defendants.
