A woman who worked at one nursing home for 15 years was recently arrested for stealing morphine from that nursing home. This year the administrators at the facility noticed that there were missing drugs from the nursing home. The administrators called the police and the police later found the missing drugs in the former nurse’s home with labels from the nursing home still on them.
The woman is accused of betraying her profession as a nurse and letting down her patients and employers. According to the district attorney on the case, ”All over the region, people are overdosing and dying from opiate abuse. The last thing we need is a licensed nurse stealing morphine from a nursing home and adding to this ever-growing problem.” The desire is to remove her from the nursing profession altogether.
